Avalanche Lake

Located 28 km away from Ooty, Avalanche lake is a must visit when on Ooty Tour. This lake, beautifully lying amid the lush greenery of mountains and landscapes mesmerises every visitor. It was created due to a massive landslide somewhere around 1800s hence the name. It is popular for trout fishing and the required equipment for it can be taken from Trout hatchery. Along with exploring the surrounding areas and its rare flora and fauna, other activities that are popular here are camping, rafting and trekking to nearby hilly regions such as Upper Bhavani.

Kalhatty Waterfalls

About 13 km away from Ooty, on the Ooty-Mysore Road, Kalhatty Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls that you will see on an Ooty Tour. This waterfall can be reached via a trek of 2 mile from Kalahatti village. It is believed that great Hindu saint Agastya has once lived here. With its rich avian fauna, it is often visited by bird watchers as well. Its scenic beauty is sure to leave you spellbound.

Mukurthi National Park

A part of Nilgiri Bio reserve, Mukurthi National Park promises a memorable time to everyone amid its enthralling scenic beauty and rich nature. Spread across 80 sq.km, this national park has various streams and rivers flowing through it, which in turn add to the overall attraction of this place. Many animals and birds can be spotted around these sources of water. There are also a few watch towers located inside the national park. It is a popular site for trekking as well.

Tiger Hill Cemetery

Tiger Hill Cemetery, situated in Coonoor, is a 19th century graveyard, primarily used by the British for their war burials. Situated amidst a tea plantation, this graveyard has burials dating back to the early 1900s. At the entrance of the cemetery there is a stone gate with an arched gateway and a steeple. The memorials are simple, some with ornate designs, sculptures and beautifully written epitaphs.

Bagaan is a 3 hour drive away from the Coimbatore airport and a 30 minute drive from the Ooty bus stop. Nestled in a small village called Perar, it's right on the main Ooty-Kotagiri highway. Taxis are easily available for this location. We will be able to help you with more information on the location and how to get there once you have booked.

Yes - secured parking is available within the premises for upto 2 cars.

Bagaan has been built across various levels, keeping the natural contours of a hill intact. Therefore, there are a sizable number of stairs that one has to take to reach the main home from the parking. It is only recommended for people who do not have an issue with climbing down stairs. This space is not wheelchair accessible.

The place can be booked as an entire unit for 6 guests.

Yes, our staff room can house upto 2 members of your personal staff at an additional cost.

Yes, absolutely. Please keep them supervised at all times to ensure there are no damages caused, and most importantly for their own safety in an unfamiliar place.

When you arrive, you will find a set of fresh linen laid out for you. Linen is changed upon request to avoid wastage of water caused by unnecessary laundry. Please do let the staff know whenever you wish to have your bed sheets or towels changed! While we do ensure the space is clean and comfortable for you, being a home, it may not mimic the feel of a hotel. However, if there is any lapse in terms of cleanliness, please inform the team and it will be taken care of on priority. We take your feedback very seriously, and take immediate actions to resolve your concerns.

No. We promptly report the use of drugs or any other type of illegal activity to the police, and they tend to offer an alternate accommodation that is not quite as pleasant as ours. We would not recommend it at all!

We would appreciate that in the spirit of harmony with the locals, please observe quiet hours post 10 PM when seated outdoors. Otherwise, please maintain a low level of sound indoors.
